| Sep 21, 2026 | I am participating at the Geometry conference in honour of Nigel Hitchin on the occasion of his 80th birthday at ICMAT, where I gave a talk titled Classification of very stable Higgs bundles. We also gave Nigel a present consisting of 3d-printed sculptures of the Bruhat graphs of the type A2, B2 and G2 coroot lattices, which are related (among many others) to the nilpotent cone in the Hitchin system as explained in the talk (see also this work). This present was joint work with Tamás Hausel. I will write an explanation in my projects page soon, including more pictures of the present. | Nov 11, 2025 | In the last couple of weeks I have visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and participated in the MIST Conference in Mathematical Physics, where I gave a talk titled Very stable G-Higgs bundles and Hecke modifications. After that, I participated as a young scientist in the Hong Kong Laureate Forum 2025, where I presented a poster titled Very stable $G$-Higgs bundles. | Aug 11, 2025 | During my 2025 visit to China I have given two new talks on different projects. The first one is about joint work in progress with Oscar García-Prada and Junming Zhang, titled Compact components in relative character varieties for real lie groups of Hermitian type, at the Geometry Workshop of the Hitchin-Ngô Laboratory hosted by Feishu in Shanghai. The second one is about recent progress on very stable Higgs bundles, titled A criterion for wobbliness of parabolic G-Higgs bundles, at the seminar of the Chern Institute for Mathematics, Nankai University in Tianjin.
